Our Legacy
Eagle Realty of Southwest Florida has completed a variety of residential and commercial projects throughout Southwest Florida, through direct ownership, assisting in development, or by donation. Below are just a few of the projects we have been involved in.
Eagle Skate Park
315 SW 2nd Avenue, Cape Coral
Donated to the City of Cape Coral
Eagle Skate Park, which opened in 2006, was made possible by a generous donation from the Eagle family. Located adjacent to the William "Bill" Austen Youth Center, Eagle Skate Park is one of the largest skate facilities from Tampa to Miami featuring nearly 27,000 square feet of ramps, rails and pipes. The park offers extreme fun for skateboarders, in-line skaters and bike enthusiasts, providing a safe and secure place for teens to gather away from the streets.
Grace Community Center
4151 Hancock Bridge Parkway, North Fort Myers
Donation to Grace United Methodist Church
Made possible by a generous donation from the Eagle Family, this 13,000-square-foot former Winn-Dixie grocery building to Grace United Methodist Church. Opened in 2008, Grace Community Center offers church service, GED and parenting classes, a celebrate recovery program, and free medical care for those in need. It also operates a thrift shop and food bank, helps out in the neighborhood surrounding the community center, and donates goods to the homeless.
Veterans Administration Hospital
Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral
Opening 2012
The first in Southwest Florida, the VA hospital will not only serve the 68,000-plus veterans living in Lee County but also those vets who will discover that this comprehensive healthcare center is an excellent reason to relocate to the area. The likelihood of serving even more service members will increase as more veterans retire to the area or return home from Iraq and Afghanistan. The state-of-the-art center will offer primary and specialty care as well as mental health, radiology and laboratory services. Eagle Realty of Southwest Florida previously owned the land and assisted in the site selection to make this project a reality.
U.S. Army Reserve Center
Corbett Road at Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral
Opening 2013/2014
This new home for the region's U.S. Army Reserves will create jobs and spur economic development in the immediate area, known as the Veterans Investment Zone. Plus, because approximately 300 reservists will use the center each year, other local businesses will benefit as the citizen-soldiers will likely book rooms in hotels, dine at restaurants and visit attractions. The training center also will need to procure local services, such as landscapers, tradesmen and others. Additionally, soldiers typically get involved in the local communities where they train, so Southwest Florida stands to benefit even further. The center will include a 37,500-square-foot training building, a 7,650-square-foot vehicle maintenance shop and a 1,500-square-foot storage facility. This is another major project in Cape Coral whereby Eagle Realty of Southwest Florida had previously owned the land and assisted in site selection to help bring this opportunity to Southwest Florida.
